Speck Products announces mini iPod Skins

The new Mini iPod Skins will provide protection for the new Mini iPod against dust, knocks, and scratches, while minimizing the bulk that most cases add. This skin-tight design is even more valuable for the new slimmed down iPod form factor. The case features a special shock-absorbing Dynaflex rubberized plastic construction, cutouts for the headphone, firewire port, and hold switch, and will be introduced in translucent colors inspired from the 5 new Mini iPod. The Mini iPod Skins will be sold in 3-Packs for $29.95 and individually for $19.95.”

So now the mini colours you choose don’t really matter.

I figured that since they have aluminum casings that a case wouldn’t be needed. I guess this is for people who are really fussy about scratches.

hang on, narco said that the colours you choose don’t really matter, however, and i may be wrong (cos they cud be the actual mini iPod) but it looks like they make the cases the same colours?
only if the picture they use isnt the mini iPod though

The main purpose for my case is to keep off scratches. Sure the screen can still scratch on the Minis, but it’ll be way harder to scratch the anodized aluminum.
Plus a scratch here or there would add character to a brushed metal body…

Honestly, the aluminum isn’t THAT hard to scratch. Just put it in a pocket with a set of keys and you’ll find that out real quick.

If you’re dumb enough to put in a pocket with a set of keys, it desrves to get scratched.
