Star Wars: Episode III iPod cover announced

pic StarWarsShop.com, an official Lucasfilm store, is now offering a Star Wars iPod cover featuring an image of Darth Vader from the upcoming Episode III installment. Developed by MacSkinz exclusively for StarWarsShop.com, the hard shell cover is made of scratch and chemical resistant plastic with the image embedded in the material. “The iPod cover adds an extra level of protection and uniqueness to your iPod. It includes a front and back matching set, and is as thick as a credit card and form fits your iPod,” according to the store. The Star Wars iPod cover will be available in two sizes for the 20GB and 40GB fourth-generation iPod, and is scheduled to ship next month for $29.99.

Not that I’d buy one, but I still looked.  What’s up w/ the Thin/Think size options??  That makes me perfectly confident that it would fit my 40GB iPod Photo… :

uhm, did u take a closer look at the pics? u will notice that those cases only cover half of the ipod. maybe the case is split into those two halfs shown on the two pics, but that is still weird 0_o (and they are both mounted on the front of the ipod on those pictures)

Wow, show up all the trekkies at the renaissance fair with that bit of geek-bling.

Like the skin construction, hate the sentiment.

Just ordered the “brush aluminum” skin for my iPod Photo 40 and it is the coolest.
Covers the whole iPod except the top and bottom that allows use of the iTrip or even my Monster iCar Play that I use.
Well worth the money! They fit over both the top and bottom and attach with a thin strip that covers the skinz only, nothing touches the iPod and it comes with a screen-cling as well.

nerrrrrrrrrrds…

heh, jk

i actually like the star wars movies, but plastering everything you own with star wars memorabilia seems a little odd.  not to mention it changes your little white friend from chick magnet to repelent in under 5 seconds.

sp1083 - I have the brushed aluminum Podskin too and agree - it’s a pretty sharp way to protect from scratches.

As for an iPod being a magnet for babes…perhaps if you buy them one - they’re way too common nowadays.
