Survey: Possible underwater audio system for iPod planned

Diver Entertainment Systems, makers of the H2O Audio – underwater MP3 audio systems is requesting iLounge readers take the survey for the possibility of developing a system for the iPod. Current products include systems for the iRiver series of MP3 players which include specialized headphones, and are rated for a depth of 200 feet. All paticipants in the survey are entered for a chance to win an iPod mini. Prices for the current line of products range from $300 to $600.

How many of us scuba dive anyway? It seems that there are similar shallow-water systems (lilipod, for example) that are avaliable for the fraction of the price for those who just swim.
Sure, this is good idea, but there is such a limited market and a prohibitavely high price that I doubt there will be many buyers.

i dont think im gonna use it to scuba dive, cuz the last thing i wanna do when im scuba diving is listen to music, but for swimming, that’s what it’ll be really good for.

i have one for diving. at first i thought i would not want it until i tried my buddys. it is amazing. totally 3D feeling of sound. combined with the great visual scene and being weightless makes it like being right inside the Imax movies. you guys gotta try it—it is incredible.
i can only imagine how cool when i swim or surf. that will be a blast. this is great stuff!!
