MacMinute reports the Crystalmini is a custom made iPod mini decorated with Swarovski crystals. The product is handcrafted with about 1,000 Swarovski crystals to match your 1,000 songs in the music player, according to the company behind the creation. “One crystal per song to represent every song you love. This is a one of a kind crystal digital music player that is crystallized from front to back with fine Swarovski crystals. It is carefully designed and crafted. Every fine crystal is placed mindfully with accuracy to allow easy navigation on the innovative scrolling wheel.” They will sell for US$699.

I think that looks pretty good actually…enough “bling” to match the rest of the cubic ziconias you’re wearing everywhere else!

They have warranty on the crystal so don’t worry about crystal falling off… $700 is worth it considering they put every crystal by hand!!! It’s made in the USA, not some Chinese sweatshop!

This is certainly not for everyone but i can see why it could be very desirable too.If its hand made then i can see why the price is 699, besides would’nt it be cool to have something this unique?

considering that is swarovski crystal and handcrafted they probably aren’t making that much money off of it.
between the ipod and the crystal the materials alone probably cost at least $500. and i’m sure that’s about 6-10 hours of labor.. if not more.
that actually seems like a really good price.
though it’s not my style. i’m all set with my regular ipod.

I think CrystalMinis are part of Satan’s plan for stylish music availability. The crystals channel the Dark One’s evil…
And Asian_N02 ... why would you want this in an iskin? It defeats the purpose. Satan wants to be seen.
George Bush would not want this mini.

Why not just put a sign on yourself saying “ROB ME, PLEASE!”
Anyone who does this deserves to get jacked.

Swarovski is actually a fairly classy company.
My bet is that they’re doing this as a bit of whimsy.

classy or not, “bead-o-matic"ing your ipod looks like something out of a white trash fantasy.
Keep it right next to your lotto tickets, and your all too important to drink bottle of Cristal.

What would happen if you need to repair/replace it? (ie. battery replacement). I’m sure you don’t want to send them to apple. Imagine the tech support people start chipping off the crystals one by one. :D
