TechTV to review iPod Battery Replacement Kit

Tech TV’s The Screen Savers will be reviewing an iPod battery replacement kit tomorrow night (7 pm EST).  This is the first time I’ve seen a TV show review the kit, and their analysis is usually spot on.  Should be interesting to see their take on the issue.

as entertaining as TechTV is, i’ve seen them not be “spot on” on a lot of things, especially games.

then again, i guess mac users don’t really need to worry about that. *zing*

seriously though, i hope to really see how they go about demonstrating the replacement kit. considering all the hype “dirty secret” video has gotten, it’ll be interesting to a lot of people.

I’ve seen the show yesterday night. They basically showed how to change the battery of the 1-2nd gen iPod and it’s REALLY easy. Takes about 5 minutes.

They did not really explain in details how to do so for the 3rd gen but they did mention it was a bit more difficult to open up the case.

I think it’s playing again today at 12pm EST.

It’s about time somebody demonstrated just how easy it is to change the battery. I’m surprised it was finally TechTV that did it.

I am still amazed that a couple of attention-seeking delinquents armed with iMovie could cause such a stir. Even their retraction and praise of Apple didn’t phase the FUD-dredgers out there. Well, it obviously didn’t hurt sales. If anything, all the attention probably helped sales a bit - as will this bit of attention via the TechTV program.
