I was about to buy the showcase until I saw this topic. I have the 15gigger and I don’t like the idea to use an insert to fill the gap between the two ipod sizes. This hard case seems to come in two sizes, so I bought one and the covers (like the orange one).

I like this case, too. If the iPodlounge review is favorable, I might consider it.
One question though. Why is there a white case front in the 3-pack (orange, black, white) if the one it comes with is already white?

Would I be right in thinking that there’s no protection for the front of the iPod with this case?

I have a unit and don’t believe that there is any screen protection.
It is a rubber shell that snaps over the front sealing the ipod between the two pieces.

This case looks pretty sharp. I was looking for a sports armband one and this seems to have the added advantage of converting to a belt clip (see quicktime movie at Teski.com)
