At first, I was suprised to see the change, as the first thing that caught my eye was the Playstation symbol in the prodominant image (it was accompanying the article about how Sony cemented iPod as the superior player).
Other than that, its nice for most ppl new to the site, but for ppl like me who just read the news, it means scrolling down a bit further, though that’s hardly a problem.

i like it, but i agree with srpashim that the playstation thing [which is readily identifiable] is very prominent and was the first thing i looked at, wondering if i had gone to PSXLounge by accident.

I like it! I primarily come here for iPod accessory reviews and it bugged me slightly that they were listed with the iPod mini accessories, so I love the new separate listings.
The only thing I can pick at is that the “new” and “mini” icons next to the review headlines seem to be stretched a little tall… maybe the height attribute is a bit higher than it should?
Apart from that minor pick, I love the redesign.

Standard pregression of improvement we’ve come to expect from the smattering of well manicured websites we see! Good job!!

It’s great! But with the new prominence places on feature stories and reviews, I hope you update them with new material frequently. We readers are always wanting more, unfortunately.

Since you asked, the “reviews” page would be much more useful if each of the products had the final rating next to it on the main reviews page.
Imagine that I’m a casual reader who has come here to look for advice about an iPod case. There are a dozens of case reviews there. It’s great that it’s so complete, but it’ll take me a long time to read them all. I’d much rather look at the highest-rated cases first, see if they meet my needs, then work my way down.
It’s not really a problem, but the conceptual distinction between the info in the FAQs and the Tips and Tricks has always escaped me.
Other than that, it’s a very well-designed site, and you should be proud of it.

I have to agree with CopRock,I need a new case and would like to see the highest rated ones first.
The new look is great, but I liked the old design better, the “Classic” iPod Lounge.

I am neutral. I think you did a great job, but i was simply used to the old design. After a couple of days I think I’ll like it. Excuse the phrase but: Mad props, yo!!

It’s nice but I found I’m either locked out or the forums are closed. There’s not even a place for me to put my name for this post.

When you decide to read this and answer me, I’d like to know why I am locked out of the forums now and why there is no answer to my e-mail I sent. At least give me an answer.

Still having problems accessing the forums?

It’s okay, but it seems really busy for me. I come here primarily for iPod news, and its not that accesible. It just seems a little too cluttered.

The orange text is aweful.

I think the orange text is part of the package and not up for debate
But the clear colour concept is eye-catching and easily identifiable as the brand ipodlounge so it’s ok!
as for the new design: I agree that it is a good evolution of the site structure, keep up the good work!
