Tunewear has announced the Tunetag Edge, a dog-tag style silicone case for Apple’s iPod nano. The case, which covers only the sides and back of the nano, comes with a removable ball-bearing style chain so that you can attach it to a belt loop, bag strap or elsewhere. It uses the same high density silicone as the company’s Icewear cases, and allows full access to the headphone jack, hold switch and click wheel. The Tunetag Edge will be available next month. Pricing was not announced.

Man, I’m tired of everyone and their dog announcing a new iPod nano accessory, but not yet shipping. I need a case for my nano, not word that maybe they will start shipping in a month.

Doesn’t do much for confidence when the picture they provide has an iPod scratched to kingdom come! I like the idea but the zero front protection… well the example what will happen is in the picture!

Come on already! What is up with no protection on the front? Why is it taking so long for a nano case with a decent, fully protective design? It’s not like there have never been iPods before! The best case I’ve seen so far is the A-1 Quality Products iKeychain. But it’s expensive and still doesn’t offer screen protection.

about the scratches: that’s why they sell the POPTUNE, wearable wrapper (sold separately, of course).
i smell a marketing ploy. looks like a bad idea for a case anyways. :-\
