If I’m not mistaken, don’t all iPods come with a protective plastic cover right out of the box?

Not this kind Gary, it’s just the factory cover so the iPod doesn’t get scratched when it the box. It’s highly noticeable too.

Yes they come with a neoprene case, but that is not what the article discusses. It shows a clear plastic cover for the ipod.

2 questions:
- Do you stick tunefilm to the iPod? Like once you stick it it will stay there.
- Can you put the iPod including icewear in the dock or do you have to remove the icewear evry time?

Well, DecalGirl.com has these (front & back) for 4 bucks. I bought two, for less than $10 with shipping.

If this material is so thin and strong and cheap as it is advertised, why doesn’t Apple use it to coat the iPod’s themselves? When you pay big bugs for a mp3 player you should expect it to be scratch resistant if solutions are so easily available.

The ipod already has a protective layer of plastic over the front, but the tunefilm provides another cover to protect the ipod.
I just got my icewear and tunewear today. The tunewear is just a cheep plastic that you could probably cut out yourself.

Ok, nevermind about the cheep plastic. I just figured out that there is a sticky side to the tunefilm.
