UK iPhone owners report reception problems

A number of iPhone owners in the UK have posted reports of poor signal reception on the O2 network. A thread on Apple’s support forum on the topic is currently up to 130 replies, with users in various areas reporting problems. Apparently, placing the iPhone in its included Dock greatly improves reception, and the improvement occurs whether or not the Dock is connected to power. While some users have reported that their problems were fixed by performing a software restore, or by replacement units, there is currently no certain fix for the problem. [via InformationWeek]

imagine if this happens in the Uk, what can i expect when i live in a country like mexico where apple has forgotten us, recently the apple store opening in mexico, but what is that? nothing, not even an itunes store, i have bought my iphone locked and i unlocked it, i live in a third world country and i have no problems with my signal, i rather buy it that way than having to wait for almost two years when apple turns its head to latin america, my advice in the uk, get an unlocked iphone and forget all those s***d contracts hahahaa
