I-magine Technology is the only iSkin reseller who is currently accepting pre-orders on the new 4th Generation iSkin eVo2 case for the 4th Generation iPod. I-magine Technology is giving customers within the UK and Europe the opportunity to guarantee that they are one of the first to own the new iSkin for the 4th Generation iPod by accepting pre-orders on these items. The eVo2 is a silicone case featuring access to all iPod functions, a clear, hard plastic screen protector and the RevoClip belt clip. The new eVo2 comes in nine colors, two sizes (20GB or 40GB), costs £22.00 and is expected to ship in mid-September.

you will probably be able to get them sooner by ordering direct from iskin when they are put onto their online store, thats what i did for my evo1 and i got mine over a month before any of the resellers in the uk had them in stock. which ever way, im getting one!

When will the updated cases be available to order? According to iskin’s website they hope to begin shipping in the 3rd week of August. It’s now the 3rd week of August and there’s no new info, not even a picture. Frustrating.
By contrast, Xskin (####.biz) has already posted a picture of ####’s new 4G cases in the “forums” section of his website, even though they’re not yet available for sale.
What gives, iskin?

Does anyone know if there will be a case of this type for the 4g with a flip up bottom for the dock AND an open-up top for the itrip?

According to #### (of Xskin fame), his new 4G cases will all accommodate the itrip. Apparently he’s designed the mold for this case so that the top of the case is concave (as opposed to just being thinner). He’s done this expressly to fit the itrip. As well, he plans to offer his “exoflp” design for this case; the bottom will flip up for dock accessibility.
In short, it looks like you’re in luck.

If anyone out there is interested, I take back what I said about iskin earlier. You can now pre-order their new 4G cases from their website. Though there are still no pix on their home page, if you click on the “store” link there is a choice available for the new 4G case. It says they’ll begin shipping Aug. 31st.

Fenderwill: According to what I read on ####’s site, he’ll be shipping to resellers first and filling direct website orders after that. Your best bet (if you want it fast!) would be to find an xskin reseller near you. Even then, you’re probably looking at mid-September or so.
Barring that, keep checking ####’s website (####.biz). He’s threatening to post more pix tomorrow. Based on everything I’ve read the new 4G cases will most likely be listed on his website as a “Just Released” product within the next 2 days or so.

The US equivalent price is about $40 for 1 silcone case - someone is taking the p*ss!
Its just a licence to print money from the gullible - ipod users!
there is NO justification to charge these prices.

Order iSkin Evo2 for 4G 20GB on website or wait for Apple Store?
Shipping costs so much that I am tempted to wait for Apple Store to carry it. Any thoughts?

Stevie: Depends. The Apple Store charges sales tax. If you buy direct from iskin.com, no sales tax. And the Apple Store also charges shipping (if I’m not mistaken). So you’ll be paying for sales tax AND shipping.
Also, you’ll probably have to wait longer to get your case from the Apple Store. Likely it won’t be available there until early Sept.
Seems to me you’re better off ordering direct from iskin. And if you don’t have your case overnighted, the shipping’s much less $$.
