why would someone spend 50 bucks on an ipod case…it’s not worth for a $300 device…besides that, are you actually take the ipod out of the case to look at it?

Vaja makes excellent cases. The highest quality I have ever noticed from a manufacturer of leather cases.

Not Dockable! The new Sena case which is just as good can go straight in the dock.

$50 is a little much.  I know their cases are top quality, but to take advantage of iPod owners by gouging for accessories is unethical.

They don’t take advantage of iPod owners. All their products are expensive, not only the iPod ones ! smile

Just noticed the new Video iPod cases are now posted on Marware’s web site.  They all say “temporarily out of stock” but they look pretty good.  Hopefully ilounge will review them soon.  They have about 6 of them listed.  Think I’ll go for one of the CEO Classic’s when they’re in stock…

I am just enough of an idiot to spend $50 on a case…but this one doesn’t look like it affords any protection against dropping, so what is the point, beyond protecting against scratches? And what’s going to prevent the fancy leather from getting stained/scratched?

According to the Vaja website though, it is a dockable case.

I thought I was crazy for spending $65 on my vaja case but I’m very glad I did.  A little expensive yes, but in my mind its worth it to protect an expesnive investment in style.

Vaja separates you from the yahoos, it is finely crafted and screams luxury. I’ll treat my precious IPOD to one.

Waynewrite, nothing will protect your leather from looking used after a while. It’s called patina smile I think my next iPod will again get a Vaja case, although I thought about “just” an invisishield.

OK, yes, I understand the appeal of the broken-in leather look…but still I would like to know, do the Vaja cases protect the Pod against impact/droppage?

I bought the Vaja case for my 60g Ipod Photo, travelled and dropped it a number of times, the leather has cushion in between, it protects it except getting wet.

itzkitz is saying that they will have a ipodkitz for the video out in Jan. Their cases are of a similar construction, except that they are not handmade, nor have the same color choices, but go for $30-$40.

That case shown is the basic model. You can preorder the “Ivolution” at http://www.vajachoice.com. You think $50 is step..this case starts at $65. I ordered mine today…this is by far the best case you can buy. Only downfall is its not dockable, but I can live with that.

Yeah! I just ordered my customized Vaja case! I have a Vaja case from about 4 years ago for my PDA and it is fantastic. It has held up great and is so distinctive. Everyone who sees my Vaja pda case immediately asks where I got it and how can they get one. I’m so pleased to put a case on my iPod that is as classy and distinctive as the device. As a business professional, it’s nice to have a case that looks “business professional.”
