Ok, I know that it may not be this first product the majority of the market will think of and most people will never need to own one and you won’t see a lineup at the apple store of hundreds of people dying to hand over $3,000 to be the first to own one but…

Your list is missing arguably Apple’s best and most innovative product of the year by far. The MacPro is the most impressive leap forward in design and engineering that Apple has made in quite some time in my opinion. And that’s not to say they haven’t made other impressive recent innovations.

While the iPad Air may be 20% smaller than the previous generation! the MacPro shrunk by a staggering 87.5%. At the same time, major improvements to performance and energy use were made. The inside architecture of this machine is pure genius. And the outside is simple, beautiful, elegant apple design as always.

My vote is for the MacPro.

I can’t believe the iPhone 5S, aka the iPhone 4S+S+S (*), is in the lead. Apple should’ve given us the larger screen sooner rather than later. Samsung and HTC are way out in front of Apple on this.

* Let’s face it, the iPhone 5 was just an iPhone 4S+S.

I completely disagree with your assessment of the 5, it is miles ahead of the 4S in terms of LTE, better form factor, lighter package, and processor performance.  The 5S is a mild improvement over the 5, but waaaay better than the 4S.

I for one am glad that Apple has not jumped onto the “phablet” bandwagon ... IMO they look ridiculous and are not practical to slip into your pocket.
