Never heard of this hotel chain, but it seems interesting

When are we going to stop thinking of people who play music off their iPods as DJs?
Seems akin to calling someone who’s managed to tap out a fun little rhythm on his steering wheel a musician. Or humming an invented tune a composer.

I am not sure but I think that the W Hotel is supposed to be for the rich. I usually hear about a lot of celebs that stay overnight there.

Even wedding “DJs” have more to work with than people usig iPods. No cross-fade, no pitch control, no BPM counter or estimator. No manual EQs.
W hotels are pretty damn metrosexual already, but this pushes them over into farce land.

Ironic what popular culture can do to something cool and somewhat obscure. All in the name of “marketing” too.

ELM ST BAR..IT IS AL INDIE AND ELECTRO STUFF AND SOME PUNK.
I DO USE A MIXER TO CROOS FADE AND NO ONE SEEM TO EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE , THE ONLY THING COOL ABOUT IT IS I CAN BRING MY HOLE ALBUM COLLECTION AND IT FITS IN MY BACK PACK.. YOU SEEM TO TAKE IT TO SERIUOSLY , IT IS SORT OF CHEESE TO HAVE THOSE FUNNY THEMED DRINKS AND NIGHT NAMED I FOCUS MORE ON THE LOCAL SCENE NOT WHERE THE MUSIC IS COMING FROM , AND NO . I AM NOT A DJ . I PLAY MUSIC.!
