now maybe this will force record companies to stop overpaying weak line ups and stop over charging for cd’s. even $1.00 is too much for a song. if they can get it down to the 25 cents range maybe i might consider using their service. i like my classic music and its kind of hard to find. the only way is through p2p sharing. i dont see record companies making an effort to lower prices on cd’s that are somewhat old now. they continue to demand top dollar even for outdated music. capitalizing on the nostalgia of consumers. tv isnt helping much out either. when you can turn the tv on and see some 15 year old in a bently knowing damn well they dont own it. i see the music industry going the way of the dot com bust. a back to basics approach and filtering of garbage music. i personally dont sell my downloaded music. everything i download is for my personal use. so i sleep very well at night. thank you.

have you tried emusic? They have a bunch of classical, and it is all you can download for a flat monthly fee. I have more than covered the cost of my membership. No more p2p for me.

Unfortunately it was the record companies greed when they forced CD’s onto us by deleting vinyl records for the major artists. Funny thing is here in europe vinyl is growing stronger, which is to do with dance culture over here. In fact HMV in manchester has expanded it’s vinyl section and vinyl Lp’s cost more than CD’s now but still they sell. No self respecting dj uses just CD.
Another point, if I used a pay service to download would i share it, like hell i would go buy your own like i did!
the quality of music is probably at such a low, why would anyone want to buy the CD for oh so many untalented manufactured boy/girl bands and wannabe a badass rappers surrounded by booty shaking girls but talking loud and saying nothing. Final note isn’t it funny how rap rhymes with crap
The accountants have taken over the music industry and they are driving it over a cliff and p2p just gives it a bit more ummph to get there quicker.
