Three Product Winners Announced

Prize: Rain Design iWoofer

Most Accurate Description? I’ll try.

It is:
- an iPod dock with speakers and lights
- seen from below
- facing right (in the picture)
- approximately 5 inches in diameter
- iPod’s signature white and silver colors
- meant to showcase the iPod, like many of Rain’s other products are designed to showcase Apple products

It has:
- four legs to elevate it about 1 inch.
- four blue LEDs to create a cool under-glow effect
- some similarities to JBL’s OnStage, except better
- a port on the back (left in picture) for computer-to-iPod cable
- volume controls

It does not have:
- bluetooth
- a remote

It’s a simple iPod docking/speaker station that allows the iPod to play music through the built-in speakers, sync to a computer, and charge its battery. The iPod sits on top, allowing full access to its menus and music. And the ambient blue glow from beneath gives it a sleek futuristic look.

Its a speaker system for the ipod viewed from the underneath. The blue light is projected onto whatever surface it is placed on and may dim in and out or change colors while playing music or synching with itunes. Has four metalic legs and the controls are on the left side of the image in between the 2 metalic circles which are speakers. The black center is the sub-woofer. Charges, syncs, docks, and plays the ipod.

As the compnay mainly produces stands, it would be probable that its first product for the iPod is also a stand. It’s in the shape of a ball, and then it has four legs underneath, and you stick the iPod into the dock on top (in the middle - so it sticks up). But that’s obvious. It is also a powerful speaker system with a built-in sub-woofer. We see the air-intake on the lefthand side, and the big, dark area in the middle is the subwoofer element, probably a 6

This is a ipod docking station stand/speaker system with glowing color changing LED lighting system underneath that beats to the music.

I believe this also has the ability to transmit your ipod music to your home stereo as well with the included A/V ports able to play your ipod videos on your TV.

It is a 2.1 system what we are looking at is the bottom of it showing the sub while the two mid/speakers are on the sides.

It seems to be a universeral ipod docking systems that stands on 4 legs. It also has a built in speaker system, and the blue LED turn on when the ipod is docked to the center of the system. Also looks like an ipod display, when the ipod is attached the blue LED lights turn on and you can display your pictures, videos, and plays music. Similar to the iGo for the mac computers.

It is an iPod dockable speaker system. It is orb shaped and you are looking at it from the bottom where the base speaker resides. The upper/mid range speaker are on the top of the unit. The bottom portion is lighted and the lights interact with the music being played through it. The lights face the surface of what the unit is placed on thus creating indirect light for more mood oriented lighting experience. The metal legs raise the unit just well enough to resonate a good rich base sound and the legs are rubber tipped to keep the unit stationary on most surfaces.

This is a docking station/speaker system the picture is taken from the bottom. There is a usb port on the left of the unit so you can sync with you computer. im digging the blue led lights but i think i might be more than that it might use Bluetooth tech to sync your phone as well as wireless speakers.

I think its a video camera designed for the video iPod.
It looks like it combines a docking station,  and an interface for your TV.
Its very cool looking; if it changes colors to the tunes of the music from the ipod that would be super cool!

I am going to say it is a docking station with video capabilities. Either that or a really freeky retinal scanner.

This device is a multitude of things in one great package.  It is a Universal speaker dock for the iPod, which is to be placed in the center, obviously pictured from the bottom.  A very cool feature included is a sensor that “sees” any person near the dock and rotates the iPod so it faces the person for easy access.  Rain design also included a mode where the iPod’s music is muted and relaxing ambient music is played, whose intensity adjusts according to the music being played.  That’s not all!  This device also doubles as a remake of the classic Milton Bradley game “Simon.”

I believe that this product is a docking station for the iPod. In using this product, one can charge his/her iPod and send their music wirelessly to the included speakers. The product also features a clock and alarm function.

Imagine a place, a place where you and your ipod could live in seclusion.  This “bubble” by rain design is what you have been looking for!  With a 6’ diameter, this is no ordinary lounge chair.  Loaded with speakers that cover every square inch of the bubble, live podcast-updates, and cool flashing blue lights, this is the product that is soon to be found in every ipod fanboy’s home!

This device reminds me of the talking computer HAL….I believe it is an eye that can capture both moving and still images and audio to the ipod…..If it isnt this seems to be the next step because the new imac does it and so do most cell phones…why not on your ipod?
