White iPod earbuds appear in cell phone commercial

The Vodafone cell phone company has broadcast a TV commercial in Japan that portrays a woman using white iPod earbuds to listen to her music-capable cell phone. It is a conclusive sign that other manufacturers are trying to “cash in” on the coolness of the white earbuds. The phone itself actually ships with cheap silver-and-black headphones, not the white earbuds used in the commercial (which are clearly iPod earbuds).

I have tried the Apple Ipod while walking yesterday with no problem and they are a bit comfortable than my Panasonic headphone.  They go in most of the way without slipping out.

Only bad things is that the wire for the right one is not long so it cannot go behind your neck.  Its a pain in the ass when you try to answer the phone while listening to music.

I think that the iPod headphones are stupid. Sure they are white to match the iPod, but my old headphones from my 2g 10gb are now a nice brownish yellow. White rubber is the worst color for something that will be handled as often as the iPod headphones. They would be a lot better if they were black or something. Gray would even be nice.

It obviously is Apple’s earbuds but they are hardly the first to come up with white eabuds ya know.  Before the iPod came, I owned these white earbuds from Sony when I used to live in Japan.  http://www.ecat.sony.co.jp/avacc/headphone/acc/index.cfm?PD=10735&KM=MDR-EX71SL

check out this:

and then click on the Nokia Fashion-Stereo-Headset HS-3

the clean white design is so fashionable at the moment.

Nokia just jumped on the train that apple created.

(Even the new nokia cell phones with integrated mp3 player support the AAC format.)

So did Vodafone! Believe me. It was planned to show them in the commercial.

These ‘news’ posts keep getting worse. I’m gonna shout here. Sorry but…

This has little or nothing to do with iPod.

As usual with tech gadgets the style of these things are ahead of us over there. Conclusive cash-in sign this is not.

Don’t make me laugh.
