That’s soooo cool, but if it takes off, someone will find a way to effecively capture streams and it will turn into a litigation nightmare, probably.

What is so hard about capturing streams? You just need a sound card that can do full duplex (like, anything made after 1996 or so) playback and recording.
Failing that you just pop in two sound cards and run the output from one into the input for the other, either through software or using a cable.
I use Meda Center to record literally dozens of streams every week, timed using its Scheduler, convert into MP3, and listen to them in the car.
I’m pretty sure even iTunes can do this. Can’t it?
