better yet—they could charge for an SDK that would incourage people with actual potential to fork over the $50 or whatever. then we could see some really good games.

Thay make something..its called a Gameboy. I don’t want my gameboy playing music and I dont need games for my ipod.
And $30? If you are dumb enough to pay $30 for this crud I have a nice, new 4G black 60GB ipod with color screen I’ll sell you for $250.

Yay! $30 dollars to read some text on my iPod.
Wait a second, that would be around $60 by the time it gets over here, double yay!

30 freaking bucks?
Not much to say except these guys are idiots if they think they’re getting a penny out of anyone with a brain.

No. Some iPod owners are going to say “WOW! A new game for the iPod” while the developers are thinking “this dumb rich kid will probably think it’s like the other games and fork out $29 for it”.
There’s a sucker born every minute; if enough of these suckers buy this game (not knowing it’s some lame text game), then they could make a lot of money.

...seriously…this game is the worst idea…well not really, its a good idea to get dumb rich people to waste money…but seriously, no one will pay 30$ to read, better yet, you PAY ME 30$ to play your lame game….you will probably get more people to play it like that…

murph, it’s definitely no coincidence… Proof? Check out this page: http://www.xoplay.com/instructions.php
To play the game is exactly as how your program would require as well…

Well, at least they just dropped it down to $10 from $30, but it’s still about $9 too much. This is retarded.
I have a gameboy, palm OS smartphone, laptop and Xbox, all of which I use for gaming, and the Gameboy and Palmphone when I’m on the road. Yeah, maybe I’d waste my Ipod battery on playing a game if it was free and I was bored, but not for that kind of money.

Ummm, I don’t know if you guys were just quoting mis0information, but the price for the game is $9.99, not $30.
Click the link, it shows it right there.
Now, not saying I support it, It’s still a POS, but I did think $30 was way way way out of league.

They changed the price today to 10$. It used to be 29.99$ yesterday. I suppose they releazed their retarded and greedy idea would never prosper…
