XtremeMac today announced a new licensing agreement with the National Basketball Association and the debut of its NBA Iconz cases for the iPod and iPod nano. Constructed of rubber, the cases feature some of the NBA’s most popular teams and players with a play-through design and clear screen protector.
Three teams are currently available for the 5G iPod—the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat—while four teams and two players are available for the nano—the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Dwayne Wade (Miami), and LeBron James (Cleveland). The NBA cases start at $25.

Same for the San Antonio Spurs. They are the reigning NBA champions after all…

Glad I wasn’t the first to have to say something.

yeah wheres the spurs?!?!?! whats the angle of this… i can see if they only but like true legends teams (celtics, bulls, lakers) but the heat… when have they ever won a championship? and since we all know a company will do anything to get more money. why not do all NBA teams? i can guarentee you that any sports fan with an ipod would want one even if they werent the best or never won a championship (mavs, suns, rockets).

I think they are going for the teams that are proven sellers. Teams like the Lakers, Pistons, Heat, etc move merchandise. Come one XtremeMac, give some respect to all 30 NBA teams. Not every one likes the Lakers you know. MadCatz came out with licensed game controllers for EVERY NBA team a few months ago.
I’m holding my breath for the day they release a Orlando Magic 5G skin.

These teams probably paid to be pasted all ovet iPods. “Hey, cool case” “Yea the Heat rok”. I think they should do one for every team in the NBA.
GO MAVERICKS!!!!!!!!!!

Where in the hell is the Pistons for the 5G. I gotta represent the best team in the world any way I can because this team is somethin special. Sorry San Antonio, but my Pistons are better in every way. You have to watch the Pistons every night like me to really appreciate their chemistry which is completely unmatched. Where’s the trophy? They should just skip the rest of the season instead of delaying the inevitable: PISTONS ‘06 CHAMPIONS.

Championships are won in June, not in January. And the last time I checked, San Antonio beat Detroit in the NBA Finals last summer, not the other way around. The regular season in the NBA is totally meaningless, so let’s not get too excited yet. All it takes is a major injury or something else freaky to totally derail an entire season. We’ll see if things turn out different this June, but it’s about 5 months too early to start celebrating anything yet Pistons fans.

The spurs looked like a college team compared to the almighty pistons. Like my man said, their chemistry is unmatched and I can’t see a team even come close to competing with us. Go…...Lions, just kidding. I need a skin for the 30g video, when can i get one?

Dude definately where is the Pistons. Sorry guys but I gotta agree with the Pistons, I’ve seen nothing like it in professional sports. The guys on the team aren’t just team mates, they’re actually good friends off the court. They’re like a little league team when you got all your buddies on the same team with you. If the Pistons make a trade for Bonzi Wells at the deadline (who was Sheed’s best friend in Portland) they won’t lose… they’ll be the best team ever officially not like they already are.

Yes the Spurs did beat the Pistons for the title last year….That was just a fluke. Have you been watching THIS season @ all?? The Pistons dominated the Spurs both games. They beat them by 15 points!!!!! A (so called)championship team doesn’t get beat by 15 points!!! They shouldn’t even bother playing the rest of the season, just hand us the trophy now. DEEEE-TROIT BASKETBALL!!!! GO PISTONS!!!!!

Hey Chauncey Bi-Bi-Bi Billups…have YOU been watching this season at all, the MAVS blew out your Pistons by 38pts. I don’t even remember DEEEE-TROIT’s starters even playing the fourth qtr that game. NOT to mention the Mavs haven’t been completely healthy all year!!! Which, let’s see your Pistons and my Mavs hash it out first, then maybe Dirk’ll let you have your trophy. WHERE ARE THE MAVS CASES for Christ’s sake. GO MAVS!!!
By the way I’m big Pistons fan as well…so let’s see MAVS VS. PISTONS FINALS>>>SPURS SUCK!!!

Ditto on the Pistons for the 5G!!! Maybe if they get enough comments about it they might actually make it, and by the way, who in the hell thought it would be a good idea to offer a 76ers cover???

Whoa, the Spurs are the best by far. Yeah every team has its bad games but just because they’re good and they win doesn’t give anyone a reason to hate them. GO SPURS GO!!!!!!
