Yamaha today announced the release of their PDX-60 wireless dock and speaker system for the iPhone and iPod. Utilizing Motorola’s proprietary yAired wireless technology rather than Bluetooth, the PDX-60 allows users to stream uncompressed audio content to the included Yamaha digital amplifier from an iPhone or iPod by using a Dock Connector based accessory that attaches to the bottom of the device. An included yAired cradle also provides the ability to charge your device while listening to it.

The Yamaha PDX-60 supports all iPhone models, the iPod touch, iPod classic, and fourth and fifth-generation iPod nano, and is available in black, blue, gray and pink. It sells for a suggested retail price of $299.95. [via Engadget]
