ZAGG intros invisibleSHIELD for iPhone 3G
ZAGG has introduced its invisibleSHIELD for iPhone 3G. The invisibleSHIELD for iPhone 3G will be available as a front shield, which covers the entire glass surface of the iPhone, as a back shield, which is specially-cut to protect the device’s glossy, scratch-susceptible plastic back and sides, as well as a full body shield, which includes both a front and back protector. All invisibleSHIELDs are made from aviation-inspired, scratch-resistant clear urethane film, and carry a lifetime guarantee. ZAGG’s invisibleSHIELD for iPhone 3G sells for $25 for the full-body coverage set, $19 for the back shield, and $15 for a front shield only. The company expects to begin shipping the invisibleSHIELD for iPhone 3G tomorrow, June 27.

Where did you hear June 27? The company’s website says “No orders will ship before mid-July.”

According to Sidney, a customer service representative at ZAGG, they are beginning to ship, but with so many pre-orders to ship (in the order they were received), Sidney says “I would not expect, as a consumer to see your order shipped until at least the first or second week in July. given the amount of orders that have come in on the 3G.”

I bought one of these for my iPod touch to replace the Griffin Clear case. I didn’t like the thickness added by the plastic case. I instantly fell in love with the ZAGG case. It is crazy durable, resists fingerprints pretty well, and adds nearly no thickness to the iPod. I preordered one the day it was announced for the 3G iPhone. I hope I have it in my hands before July 11th.
If you get one, make sure to use plenty of the included soap water to apply…load it on!
