Ahar, thats why everyone likes free software, thats why linus released linux for free! Because your not allowed to criticise things that are free, because that would be childish! Your the one acting like a 5 year old. Learn to take criticism.

30GB iPod $419 and 15GB iPod $329 - Today Only

I love the fact (not really) that people who ordered the iPod on the same day as I are already receiving it.

Meanwhile, I still have a ship date of 8/13/2003. That really sucks.

Windows: Ephpod 2.77 beta released

As stated in between your earlier posts in this thread, ti, all you have to do is replace the .exe file. It’s a new binary, not an updater. I’m surprised but pleased that you’re giving it a try! wink

"How to make your iPod screen red!"

I can’t believe someone would actually risk damaging your iPod just to make the screen red??? Big frickin’ deal. I think it looks ugly. Stick with customizing your cellphone. That was menat to be opened up and messed with. The iPod wasn’t. Absolutely the stupidest thing I have seen on the lounge.

Does this version recognize tag changes? Tag changes and smartlists are the main reasons I changed to MC9 Beta.

Booq Announces PodPaq Nappa iPod Case

I like it… I would buy a Booq case if they were each about $10 cheaper.

I’d be willing to pay $29.95 for the Nylon and $39.95 for the leather.

Ah hell, I’ll probably break down and buy one anyway.

Why won’t anyone design a Booq-like case with a clear window in the flap so we can read the screen while using the remote?!

ti, it has more features than vPod, so until vPod has the same basic features, for example: removing files from database and editing ID3 tags. I’d still be inclined to use Ephpod.

I’d like to vote for smart playlists please. Basically what Songdog asked for above.

iSkin eXo Now Shipping

How nice that they’re treating the pre-ordering customers like garbage. I haven’t received any emails from them, except when I complained that they had exos for sale at MacWorld yet I’d pre-ordered and still hadn’t received anything. They emailed back that people at MacWorld weren’t getting the free useless crap that they’re throwing in. Boo hoo. I don’t want the extra junk; i just want my cover that should have come over a month ago--and I STILL haven’t received any shipping info anyway. This iSkin company is a pathetic joke and iPodlounge is hurting its own reputation with by being associated with it.

Windows: Ephpod 2.77 beta released

I’ve never had crashes during operations, although I had problems with an earlier version where the app didn’t close properly. I’d still much rather use EphPod than MMJB, thank you very much.

Syncing is a surprisingly challenging problem; EphPod presumably can’t tell you’ve re-ripped an album without rescanning your files (unless you’ve re-ripped it through EphPod) and it can’t tell for certain whether the proper version of a file is on the iPod without rescanning that (as you may have modified the contents of your iPod from another computer). This means that a true sync would probably be a lot slower than you’d like. I’m not saying that EphPod shouldn’t be able to do this, just that I understand why it isn’t perfect. I’d love for this to work better myself.

Oh, and smart playlists would rock, especially if playcounts and ratings are taken into account. And tempo! Please, please, please ...

Windows: Ephpod 2.77 beta released

syncing doesnt work, it doesnt get rid of songs so if you’ve re-ripped an album it will just duplicate all the songs and sometimes it will crash in the middle of operations and like half-songs are uploaded

To Joe Masters: Thank you for making this great program available (especially for free)! I wanted to add my vote in favor of fixing the Audible bookmark bug. Was this an EphPod issue, or is this something fixable now that the 1.3 firmware update is out for Windows iPods?
