Macworld: Matias Announces New iPod Armor Case
I have no idea what kind of stairs they have in Matias land but they can’t be very big ones. And dropped onto concrete from what height? Two inches? Seriously, hard disks are fragile beasts, especially whilst running, and falling down anything that one could reasonbly describe as stairs would most likely kill one complety or at least damage one enough to either break down quicker than you might expect usually. Of course these “tests” could of been conducted whilst the hard disc heads where parked (turned off, or inbetween read bursts perhaps) in which case maybe it might survive. Or perhaps theyve managed to squeeze some sort of spacial rift into it and theres actually several inches of foam inside that aluminium case?
I sure as hell wouldn’t want to test out their claims anyway, would you?

iPod battery lawsuit to be filed in January
I’m very unhappy over the fact that I trusted the name Apple without checking into other MP3 players. For $400, I expect the iPod to have a battery that stays charged longer than my cell phone. Especialy if it’s only 2 months old!

iTunes Music Store coming to Japan
For me this is great news…not because I live in Japan but because of the previews of music by japanese artists who until now have been away from the iTunes music store library!

DJs look to iPod as the next turntable?
I always laugh at articles that involve the I-Pod and DJing…having been (and still am) a DJ CONSISTANTLY since 1986 here in Phoenix, I’t easy to say that the this concept is being pushed by the newbie DJ’s thta are under the impressions that 192 MP3’s are okay in a huge sound system i n a nightclub…hate to tell you, but you are mistaken….CD’s and Vinyl, only way to go for now until somethings WAY better than final scratch comes along. Sheesh…newbie/bedroom DJ’s are ALWAYS looking to tchnology to make up for talent/laziness…I swear, technology and the media hype about being a “dj” has lowered the bar to a point where someone buys 10 records they consider themselves a “DJ”..or the DL a bunch of low bitrate ##### of the interweb and burn some discs they think they can do a whole night…..crack smokers, I tell ya’!

Give me money to buy an iPod
Actually Geoff is just having a laugh and i can say that for a fact cause i work with him. Its really quite mind boggling to see how much pointless vitriol is being outpoured by you charity fascists. He does have a job, this is just a bit of fun, and how disturbing is it that people can’t seem to get their heads round this?

CNET: Music downloads decline after RIAA lawsuits
I agree with Chris. I wouldn’t rely so much on this research… It’s not too hard to imagine how anyone would say “No, I don’t download music from the internet” after all the fuss with RIAA, lawsuits and the rest.

CNET: Music downloads decline after RIAA lawsuits
with the advent of newer, less RIAA-monitored P2P communities like Bittorrent and eMule, of course people are going to migrate over from Kazaa and Grokster. besides, if anything, the RIAA subpoenas themselves were found to be illegal.

Apple retailer says mini iPod is true?
I think a cheaper ipod will sell by the bucket load because everyone wants an iPod but the cost is a major stumbling block for a lot of people. i think this a smart move on apples part and they know it

I am not a big fan of those Exo2 as well. I just put my iPod in those soft fabric bag where people use to put their mobile phone in. Fit perfectly.

It’s got foam on the inside. The metal doesn’t touch your iPod.
Those plastic cases out there I’d avoid…
