iLounger Bob K. has informed us that EverythingiPod.com is taking pre-orders for its new all-in-one FM transmitter, charger and dash mounted solution for iPod.
“This is the product that iPod owners have been asking for! The iPod is a must-have in the car, but the current iPod car solutions create a mess of wires and leave the iPod on the seat, the dash or in a cup holder. Now you don’t have to sweat the clutter. iPod sits right where you can access it, charges and plays through your car stereo via the best FM transmitter around!”

Target and Dell Propel Apple Stock
MacObserver reports that news of Target and Dell selling iPods has propelled Apple’s stock to a new 9-week high.
“The dual news helped kick Apple’s stock to a new 9-week high, with AAPL closing at 15.98, up .54 (+3.50%) in moderate volume. Intra-day trading saw Apple soar to 16.37, a US$.93 gain, only to have profit taking reclaim 39 cents of those gains in the last 45 minutes of trading. Dell’s stock closed higher at 29.06, a gain of 0.40 (+1.40%).”
“Mac iPod to be a hard find at Target”
ThinkSecret is reporting that not all Target stores will be carrying iPod for Mac.
“A spot check of 23 Target stores from coast-to-coast confirms this. All 23 stores contacted had Windows iPods ready to sell, but only three had Mac versions of the product or even showed them on order. Of those three stores, all had less than five Mac iPod units on order or in stock. ‘We were never told we’d be getting the Mac version,’ a Target manager in Kansas City, MO said. ‘I show none on order or in stock. I have plenty of the Windows units (28) ready for display.’”

Apple Announces iPods at Target Stores
Apple has officially announced the availability of iPods at all Target stores in a press release.
“‘We’re thrilled that Target will significantly expand the availability of Apple’s award-winning iPod to even more customers,’ said Tim Cook, Apple’s executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Operations. ‘Apple has placed an operable iPod on display in each of Target’s 1,148 stores, so every Target customer can use and listen to an iPod before they buy.’”
“Dell selling Apple’s iPods”
News.com reports that Dell will soon be selling the iPod for Windows through its online store.
“‘Yep, Dell is reselling iPods,’ Apple said in a statement provided to CNET News.com. ‘We are delighted to offer our 5GB, 10GB and 20GB iPods for Windows through Dell’s direct retail channel. iPod has been a big success to date, and we would like to make it even bigger.’”
“Poll: iPod ‘too expensive’
Macworld UK recently conducted a poll which asked, “Do you desire or own an iPod?”
“A slim majority of 27 per cent felt it was overpriced, while 26 per cent said they were ” not interested”.
The remaining 47 per cent of votes of the 1,316 polled were divided into the 19 per cent who expressed an interest in buying one and the 28 per cent who already own one. Of these owners, 16 per cent own the 5GB version, seven per cent have bought the 10GB model, while 5 per cent forked-out for the 20GB iPod.”

Mac: iPod+ Released
“There are several utilities available to synchronize text files with your iPod (displayed as special Contacts). Some also support web pages. But none to my knowledge support rdf/rss news feeds embedded in named Calendars. iPod+ supports all of these features and runs on both MacOS 9.x and MacOS X. The only caveat is that it is pre-alpha. But give it a shot anyway. There is even a bit of documentation. :)
System Requirements: Mac OS 8.6 - 10.2.x and iPod Software 1.1 - 1.2.1
Windows: iPodSync 1.7 Released
“iPodSync is a new tool for Windows to keep your Microsoft Outlook calendar and contact information synchronized between your PC and you’re iPod.”
- What’s new in v1.7:

- Added .Note: prefix to all notes to help keep the notes grouped on the iPod.
