...taking a picture on a lighter gray background would be helpful on these black/dark gray products.

I own a pair and paid less than the $349.00 that Bose sells the QC3s for. So they can be had for lower than list price if you are willing to spend a few minutes on the Web. In addition, they sound fantastic-have very transparent highs and mids with very good detailed bass. The Bose QC series is decent for full size noise cancellation headphones but really not in the same league sonically as the 450s. As most of my music listening is with headphones I have no problems shelling out $$ for a good pair. It's no different than investing good money in a high end home theater gear.

The interesting thing is that in the UK the Senneheisers can be had much cheaper than Bose QC3. For example, I just saw them tax free on British Airways for £199 whereas the cheapest I've seen the QC3 at the airport for is £235. As a comparison the Shure 310s are £144 tax free at the airport...
In the UK, I'd therefore suggest that the Sennheiser's would be preferable given they are cheaper than the QC3's.
