I wonder if those enclosures are sealed like the old E2s. By which I mean waterproof, as the E2s, while not sold as waterproof, actually were.

malren...they REALLY are?? Hard for me to want to test that....sepecially given the ear hole...what if water goes down that if you lose a seal?

In the first picture, can't tell if the plug is designed to fit a recessed port (a la iphone) or if it's just not pushed in all the way.

@ Rod Dunn: It's an iPhone compatible plug. If it ere not pushed in all the way the part showing would be gold-plated conducting surface.

I was just thinking about getting a pair of E2Cs with the coming $100 gift card from Apple, but I think I'll get these instead especially if the plug really is iPhone compatible.
