The screen protector scratched the heck out of my iPod display. Dirt and dust from my pocket got trapped underneath the case and scratched my iPod further. Honestly, I suffered fewer scratches on my iPod AFTER I installed the iSkin.

Just got my exo iskin2 today, and unfortunately the screen protector scratched my screen in the upper left corner. I didn't even move/force it, but in order to remove the iPod you do need to pop off the screen - so I gently peeled back the top and lifted the screen only to see a 2mm gash in my screen where the hard plastic "foot" was.

(sigh)

The belt clip is useless, but it's nice that you can completely remove it.

Like a previous poster, I got the clear case hoping it would enhance the look of my iPod, but it just looks dirty (and I haven't even put it in my pocket yet).

Don't want to be too harsh though, it fits prefectly on my ipod, and grip/controls are great. too bad it had to scratch my screen. :(

I have an iSkin Exo and the original belt clip works just fine for me.

i brought the iskin 2 weeks ago. i wanted better protection, plus i got tired of sliding it in and out the lil black case it came with. after a week of use i took it out to clean my ipod. (the ipod gets so dirty quicky) and i noticed the 4 lil nubs scratched up the corners of my ipod! i was so pissed! i paid 30 bucks (plus s&h) for nothing. it messed up my beautiful ipod. i dont get it, u pay 400 bucks for an mp3 player that scratches so easily. no matter how careful or how much protection u buy, it still does no good. well i went back to the black case and i've been using it since.

I just got my ####... almost the same, I think the company split a while back or something (?)..... anyways, after 1 day in my school bag, it was really knarly and covered with dust, crumbs, moon cheese, etc. I've sprayed a little bit of static gaurd on it (I know the material is sticky, but also kinda staticy), I think it might help. When you put it in the dock, do you stretch the skin, or take it off completely?

just got mine today. looks great(artic). Had to mod the top of it to make it accept the iTrip which does not look to good but overall (so far) a great product!

I got my iSkin eXo2 a few weeks ago now.. it works great, though i dont have a iTrip so theres no problem there. you can use the dock with the case on, but you can still unplug the dock and use the basic cable with the case on.

One tip is to wash the case in some warm water (even when brand new). of course let it dry 100% before putting your iPod in it! that removes all the dirt (it does pick up small bits of dust etc.).

the screen protector as mentioned above doesnt scratch the screen itself, and stays perfectly in place.

alternative case for use with iTrip is iSkin evo

I have never had a better case for my 3G 20GB iPod. Simply wonderful. There's nothing wrong with the iSkin eXo2 Case. It's perfect, except changing the hold function. Can be a little fiddly at times. But in all looks good, and protects my iPod. Which is my intention for the case.

after owning 4 different cases, 3 silicon rubber, i finally bought the iskin exo 2. great product, higher quality than others with good clip. highly recommended.

this product is completely monkey... don't be sucked in.... the belt clip insert scratched the back of my i-pod and the screen protector scratches the front... what is the point of a protective skin that damages the pod itself.... the incompatability with the i-trip is the biggest oversight... surely this is the most relevant time to use an iskin... when your pod is out in the open or rolling around in the car... in your pocket listening through phones you pod is safe enough in the apple case.... the handstrap is also next to usless, cheap looking, and has had absolutely no effort put into its design - it is simply an after market clip very poorly suited to the iskin you're meant to attach it to.. once attached almost impossible to remove.... avoid this product until the company can stop cashing in and starts thinking about the products its designing.....

got the iskin exo2 last week. so far so good.

i don't see the problem with the screen. the nubs on the corners are soft, squishy rubber. in addition to NOT scratching the ipod at all, they keep the screen from sliding around.

and of course it's going to get dirty: it's SILICONE! silicone and similar rubbers, by their very nature, collect small particles of dust and hair and whatever. i say that's just less dirt to touch the ipod.

the metal belt clip seems sturdy enough, but is kinda cheap, and a pain in the a** to get on and off a belt. iskin must be paying attention, however, because my exo2 shipped with that clip and a second one marked "improved belt clip". this one was clear plastic, was able to pivot and lock into place in a horizontal position without removing the skin, and had a conventional squeeze-clip design to remove it from the belt. it also had a small hole at the top of the clip to attach the handstrap.

overall, i'm very satisfied. great fit and it looks nice.

on further investigation, it seems the extra belt clip i received is the same one iSkin includes with their eVo skin.

The plastic nubs on the hard screen protector did scratch my ipod... a lot!!! Even if you don't move it around on purpose, when you're pulling the pod from yuor pocket, you will really tend to touch the protector and move it around in the process.

Also, I ended up with some scratches due to dirt that passed through the ventilation holes at the back. The pod gets scratched when you try to take off the skin.

I received my exo2 carbon just this week. Overall, I am pleased with the product, but the cheap, flimsy clip is a joke. The locking clip never truly locks and regularly falls off just with my handling the Ipod. There is no way I would clip this onto my belt or anything else for that matter. Of course, this also makes the handstrap useless. Because of the fit and the protection it gives to my Ipod I will continue to use it but not as it was designed to be used.

I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I am looking hard at the iSkin for my new 4G iPod, andam interested in one that glows. I read in one review that the glowing ones smell like crazy. Is there anyone out there with a glowing case that can confirm this? I appreciate it!

Could someone please explain the difference between xskins and I skins? Byron alluded to a split into two companies and the resulting similarity in names. I'd love to see a comparison chart, contrasting the two product lines. I know they come in different colors, thicknesses, and contours (for different generations) but they seem to be sold by different retailers, making it hard to compare them. (There are also the Speck cases, but despite their availability for 4g iPods, they don't seem to be as highly regarded.) Does anyone know of reasonably comprehensive comparative review?

My God these "free iPods" losers are the nastiest spammy cockroaches crawling around the internet these days. They pop up everywhere with their tiresome referral links polluting websites.

Go away Eric!
