The guy at the Apple store in Soho told me that your ipod can overheat if you charge it while in the skin - anyone have any thoughts on that? I thought perhaps he might just be a little sour grapes because it wasn't an Apple product..

I've never had a hot pod when charging with the dock or the "outlet" charger.

hehheh... Bill Clinton with a hot pod. That makes NO sense, does it? Anyway, ewww that thing is ugly, go buy an exoflp, its got the flap and it much better, and comes in more colors than smog, blue, and black.

my friend joe has this case. its alright, a little sung to get in and out. it doesnt feel loose on it. but the buttons (back menu play forward) and a pain to hit some times...but other then that its a wonderful case, very shock absorbing. he droped it snowboarding once and it was fine. excelent shock absorbance. and water resistant, sorta ; ). ok ill shut up. payyce

This is definetely the best case for the iPod that I have come across. The material used feels awesome to the hand and at the same time provides for excellent shock protection.

I've dropped the iPod before and it just does a little bounch and land.

If you put a PDA protective layer over the screen then put on this case it's the safest combination for the ipod.

i have the 3 pack, i bought it, and i stopped using it, i say it sucks. The button access is horrible, i found it really difficult to actually pause/play, or switch a song, because the thickness makes the switch to deep. it also doesnt offer any screen protection a major problem.

One thing, if you want to remove your scratches, there is an "ice creme" i haer that works wonderful on the screen of the ipod, im gonna buy one. (thinkdifferentstore)

I just bought this product.

I think it's the best one on the market for everyday/practical use. Removing the case for charging on the dock can cause more scratches than simply leaving it off - the speck allows you to just lift the flap up.

I have a 20GB and it fits perfectly - not to loose at all. It is not the easiest thing to get off - but definitely not impossible (and anything that is that "easy, proably doesn't fit well in the first place).

About all of this "buttons are hard to reach" talk - i dont find it hard at all! They are SOOOO extremely touch sensative. Unless you have extremely fat fingers - it is fine and I think it's better just incase you dont have the hold on and something accidently touches it (like your shirt, etc.)

The shock absorbtion is great. I think it's the best one on the market if you want to leave it on while docking (taking these cases off is a huge pain in the ###)

Yeah, the case feels a touch loose on my 15gig 3G iPod, but it does the job. I took a PDA screen protector, randomly cut it down to a better fit for the iPod, then slid the iPod into the case and it worked perfectly. I didn't measure the protector, but when it's in the case, it hides the edges of the protector anyway.

Terrible - looks like it's going to protect nicely, but I just removed it for the first time and it's scratched to hell.

My ipod would look far better right now if I had never put it into the case in the first place.

I give them a solid 1/5. I would be a 0, but I can't admit to myself that I paid $20 for nothing.
