I found that PDA screen protectors work well too. I have a Sony handheld which I bought screen protectors for (as I tap the heck out of my PDA) and just used those. They were a little larger than needed but you can always cut them. They are also large enought that if you use two of them on the back, they'll protect the back from scratches. I haven't gotten that far but it you really want to you could do that as well. The price wasn't that bad since you get a set of twelve or so for a few buck. I think it worked out to about $1 and change per protector. Just a thought!

Word Dave.....I found that pda screen protectors work great. I have been using those for a while and haven't had any problems. I use the screen protectors as a back up when i am switchin my ipod between my contour case, auto dok and timbuk2 2 case.

I have the javoedge screen protector.

I got it when i noticed light scratches on my screen...

after I applied it, not only is my ipod now protected from further scratches... but you can't see the existing ones through it... I have no explanation for this, but you just can't... all my office mates and i looked at it from all angles... nothing.

so i swear by it. worth $10 (s+h included) to forget it was ever scratched in the first place...

I agree with puck....I started to notice small blemishes that were actually only visible in certain angles and light. When I got the screen protector (yea about $10 with s/h) and put it on, the scren looked awesome. Just chrystal clear and flawless. I highly recommend it. Just be careful putting it on not to bend it!
