I just received mine today. It took exactly 30 days.

I just bought an eXo3 4G off ebay ($11). The service was fast, and I got mine in less than a week.

Honestly, I can't really understand why it would merit a C+, while I've seen other ipod accessories that I wouldn't touch with a 10' stick get better grades.

In any case, it perfectly fulfills my objective: a very small thin case that is nearly transparent in size. It doesn't make my ipod feel any bigger, just grippier so I don't feel like my ipod is going to slip out of my hands. Now I can toss my ipod in my pockets (w/ minimal bulge) along with my keys and not worry about scratching it.

Regarding screen protection, it's not problematic for me because since day 1, I've always had a PDA screen film on my ipod, cut to size and it works fine.

are these better than iskin or speck skintight?

Posted by punkrockavocado on February 6, 2005 at 3:28 PM (PDT) Comment 24

#### has one of the worst websites I've ever seen, maybe because theyre a China based company. iSkin's is much easier to navigate. So I think I'm going with the iSkin because I don't see much difference in the products and I don't care about a belt clip.

There is a site called that sells the product. it's a wee bit more expensive but i think i am going to go with them considering all that you have contributed regarding your plight with the #### site

I ordered an eXoflpfb 4g from and it arrived within three days, so that might be an alternative to the #### site (with which i have no experience - but some of the notes here aren't particularly positive).

As for the case itself, I'm quite pleased with it so far. I had a 20GB iPod with an iSkin evo2, but I just upgraded to a 40GB model and bought the exoflp this time because I wanted the scroll wheel protection and ability to use the Apple dock.

In some ways I actually *like* the simple design (lack of "textured grips or other design elements" as the review says). As for more practical concerns... My iTrip fits well. Scrolling is hampered slightly since the wheel is covered up - but only noticeable when trying to scroll quickly through long lists, a price I'll pay for the extra protection.

I also got the #### iShades for the screen, and I haven't noticed the "wet" look, so maybe that's just a matter of luck? I liked the way the iSkin shade used the little bumps to raise it from the iPod's screen, but the #### shade is made of a softer material and for whatever reason seems much clearer / more readable - maybe *because* it attaches directly to the iPod's screen.

Overall, I would say I slightly prefer this product to the iSkin, but there are benefits to each, so I suppose it depends on the exact features you're looking for. For me, the wheel protection and flap (for easy dock connector and Apple dock access) sealed the deal.

It's probably not fair to compare this to iSkin because of the ten dollar price difference. Even so, I think that the #### is a better deal and probably even a better case.

Before I shell out for an exoflpfb 4g for my iPod Photo 60Gb, can someone tell me if this case will definitely fit my model?

Posted by yoxi on March 10, 2005 at 5:11 AM (PDT) Comment 29

Well, just answered my own question by looking on the #### website - they do models particular to the iPod Photo, so I've ordered one today along with a swivelclip - I'm interested to see how long it takes to get from HongKong to England (can't get the range of colours from any of the UK resellers - mmm, pearl jade...)

I just got my #### exo3 and exo cases today. I like the exo case a lot. My friend has the evo iskins and to both of us the exo and evo seem exactly the same. the only difference was that at the bottom he's got a little cover for his usb and on my exo it's just exposed. And I really like the ishades. They do give a wet look if you press down hard on the screen but other than that it was very nice. Also I'd rather have a bendable plastic screen than a hard plastic screen because I wouldn't want my ipod's actual screen to get scratched. My friend said that his shade from the evo iskin moves around a lot more than my exo ishade does.
The exo3's are a whole other situation-I've already complained to #### because the website said that the twistclips fit every model. But there's no way in hell I would put it on my ipod with the exo3-it doesn't even hold it. The other problem with #### is the website and that you have to wait weeks to get your order since they are in China.

I am considering buying an exoflpfb and I was wondering if it was compatible with XtremeMac's AirPlay. I already have an iSkin, and it doesn't work with airplay because it is curved to fit iTrip. Does anyone know if AirPlay will work with this case?

I am completely satisfied with the #### case for my 4G 40G.

i want to order a #### flip non-flatback case for a 30 gig photo ipod. however, i can't decide b/t the 'eXoflp Photo' and 'eXoflp 4g' cases. the 'eXoflp Photo' is listed as suitable for 40 & 60 gig photo ipods and i'm assuming the 'eXoflp 4g' is intended for use w/ 20 gig regular ipods. i can't figure out whether to go up or down in case size. the 20 gig ipod is .57" thick, 30 gig photo .63" and 60 gig photo .75". no idea what the 40 width is/was. the eXoflp 4g could be .06" too small and eXoflp photo could be up to .12" too big. (why can't they use the metric system??) i'm probably being too nitpicky but i don't want to deal w/ ordering the wrong case size and having it be too snug/loose.

also, what case is closest to being clear? i'm assuming it's either ice or frost but i can't find any images of frost cases.

I just got the Exoflpfb 4G straight from #### in HK. It got here in a few weeks and looks great. The clickwheel works as well as it ever did, despite the silicone covering. The window looks fine, no "wet look" that I cna see. The one problem so far is that my iTrip doesn't connect 100% due to the case in between it and the ipod, so it doesn't work. I'm not sure how to fix this- is there an iTrip extender? Somehoe I doubt it...

I am also considering buying the exoflpfb for the 30 gig photo. To echo the questions posed by cheshireluna and penguin, does anyone know if it fits with the XtremeMac airplay? How about sizing? Also color, how sparkly/clear are frost or ice? Is the pearl translucent or opaque?

I have asked this before, but can anyone tell me if silicone cases are easy to isert and remove from your pocket(Does the case grab fabric, hence interfering with this action)?

I bought the exoflp when they first came out and loved it. It came pretty quickly as I can recall and luckily I never had to deal with their customer service. The day it arrived my dog found the package the mailman had left in the yard and she decided that my new ipod case was her chew toy. She was able to put one tooth mark into it but other than that it stood up to her test. These cases are nice becasue you can leave the skin on all the time, it works with the itrip, the apple dock and you can easily access the hold switch. The smell does go away after awhile. And the lint is easily washed off. I highly recommend these. Recently my ipod was stolen along with the case. I have ordered a new ipod and will be getting the exact same case again.
