I bought the one with the cut outs, and I immediately asked for a refund. These guys are tricky, the case looks nothing like the picture on their website. The plastic on top? Disgusting.
So far, no response from them regarding returning it. Avoid this company. Their prices might be attractive, but its not worth it at all.

I own a solid cover aluminum case. It's true, it's very hard to get the iPod out. And it's also true that the hard plastic will scuff the top of the iPod. The case basically caused isolated and concentrated damage to the top while protecting the back. Get a better quality case.

I bought one of these solid auminum iPod cases on Dec. 2nd, and it arrived on Dec. 6th! This case is GREAT! It is the best case I have ever seen for an iPod, and it even fits my 4th generation 40GB iPod with no problems. There are very few covers for this iPod, and most of them are just the cheap plastic or rubber-type covers that are WAY overpriced. GA provided me with a quality item at a fair price with quick shipping!

Whatever, Mine exploded with shrapnel all over the place. Now I can't have babies! BTW, has one seen my baby? I can't find my baby!

Bought mine on Ebay really cheap. I got the closed front model for my 4G 20G. Great protection but I have a few complaints. The case seems to have been made for a taller and thicker Ipod, 30/40G 3G maybe. I had to put extra foam inside to keep the iPod from moving around (up and down and front to back only, the side fit is perfect). This also means the case takes up a lot more room in a pocket than necessary. Also, the plastic parts add to the size as well. On the positive side, my Belkin car kit snaps in the dock connector with ease (with the extra foam inside) and the case flips open fairly easily to allow access without the iPod falling out. Final ruling: not total crap but I got what I paid for.
