It's friggin big! Almost a bit overkill. What kind of activities would one engage in that would require such protection? Good price though. Perfect for those times when you need bombproof protection for your iPod.

Who would use such a case? Military. That case would be almost perfect for hauling an iPod to the field or overseas on a deployment, when your personal gear constantly gets the crap kicked out of it. I currently have a Pelican Case 1120 that is about triple the size of the Casemandu (7.38"L x 4.88"w 3.56"h). However, I was able to fully customize the foam insert for the case (something you can't do with the Casemandu) and it fits my 20gig 4G with all of my accessories with room to spare. Plus, I paid less than $25 for it!

Bascially, these cases are for getting your iPod from point A to point B.

the only thing that i would think that would be usefull for would be for a frequent traveler to stick in their suitcase. although if they are a frequent traveler i would think they would have the thing in a smaller case in a carryon. i dunno.

If someone made an iPod case that holds the iPod and accessories in specific cut outs of foam or whatnot that looked like those cool aluminum brief cases that you see in movies frequently, then I'd purchase one. Obviously in a scaled-down version so it won't be massive. Ya know the cases I'm talking about? Most of the time in movies people have them stuffed with money or a bomb? I think that would not only be cool, but would also match the up-and-coming 5th gen iPods. wink I'll hold off for someone to eventually make one.
