If you are considering to buy these fine speakers for travelling: they are pretty large and heavy! Weight about 5 pounds which is quite a lot, I think. Even for a commuters back pack...

I am outside the US for a few months at a time. I bought this beacuse of rent a cars that only have CD player. I loved this at first, but it fell apart in about 6 weeks. The Ipod does not play or charge on the dock anymore. It also does not play using the provided mini audio cable. Very Lame.

Regardless of the other comments, I love this! And I have friends that have had their speakers for a long time with no problems. I love the portability and functionality of it. I carry mine to the office everyday, listen to it in every room of the house, take it camping, take it to the pool, etc...great for any occasion! The sound actually is better than what I thought it would be!
