This is a really good case. I could hardly care for looks , but this case looks cool and is good in protecting the ipod. The only thing i wish this case had was a cover for the scroll wheel.

I got one of these for my Nano, it is very cool. However, I thought the screen protector was too cumbersome so I replaced it with a clear skin that came with my iFrog case which I didnt like as much.

The case is worth every penney. When you drop your ipod -- and you WILL drop it -- the benefit of the 'truck tire' thickness becomes apparent. The screen protector stays in place and has not marked the screen.

The insert has marked the back of my 30G. Yes, this sucks, but the marks can be buffed out. No big deal.

My only complaint is the clip. The plastic release mechanism fatigued after less than a month of use. It is no longer able to disengage the nipple, rendering the clip useless.

I bought mine at RadioShack for $30.

Thankfully at my age I don't need to worry about being cool. My concern is protecting my $300 investment from my own stupidity, which the ToughSkin does well.

My 60 gig iPod slid into the case easily. Those few words are all I have to say good about the ToughSkin. The review mentions how the click wheel is exposed, and that is true. You do not build a "tough" case and then leave part of the unit exposed. Duh..? Second, my belt clip lasted exactly one week and it fell apart. If you build a "tough" case, shouldn't it have a "tough" beltclip to go along with it? Just a thought... In the end, the guy at the Apple store summed it up pretty well: "Tough? Well, maybe tough LOOKING." This is not a professionally designed product. Don't waste your money.

These cases are cool at first, and seem very protective, but overtime, they destroy your ipod. If you care about the face of your iPid, DO NOT BUY THIS CASE. About 5 months ago my roomate and i bought them for the 30g video, and we thought they were the best cases out there. but, once you remove your ipod from the case when its been in there for a month or two, there are blemishes all over your ipod. I have tried everything to get it off, and it is impossible. It has permanently destroyed my ipod's looks. Sure, it offers protection for the inside of the ipod, but not its outside. Buy another case if you dont want your ipod ruined. I recommend Case-Mate's cases. Very durable and they look great.

i got my tough skin about 2 months ago and it works great. it protects the whole thing so you dont get any scratches. you can even drop it and it will still protect it. one cone is it dosent protect the click wheel that well but then again without covering it up how can you?

This is my second Tough Skin (the first for my iPod mini and this time around, for my 5G video) and I cannot recommend a better case. Yes, it looks like an SUV tire, but man, I've dropped it so many times it's not even funny. And even then it just bounces right back up with nary a scratch! It does what it supposed to do, which is to protect a $399 investment. The screen protector is great and though I miss the click wheel protector, its a minor issue (that and the belt clip which broke both times after a week of use). It does leave blemishes on the iPod when you take it off and when you do that a number of times, the rubber does get stretched out (mine's already tearing a bit after 10 months of constant use). But even after looking at all the new cases out there, I'd buy another Tough Skin right away; it's the best protection there is!

I wouldn't recommend this case for a few reasons:
1. It leaves the clickwheel completely exposed.
2. Dust and other materials will constantly make their way behind the screen, and sometimes, when something corrosive gets behind the screen, the screen will get scratched.
3. If you are going to be taking the iPod in and out of the case, even infrequently for stereo systems or docks, the skin will stretch and stay stretched, allowing a lot of dust and particles to get between the ipod and the screen.
4. Unless you don't leave the belt clip part in it, the little plastic piece will scratch a circle into the back of your iPod.
