The case looks great to me. The hold switch wont need your fingernail to dig into and its made of something that looks like you can sweat into. Im gettin one!

I bought this case for my 4G B&W 20gig, and I hate it. It is bulky, looks cheap, and you have to bend the opening back to get to the dock connector. Do Not Buy This Case!

I had one for my 3G and I also disliked it. It is very bulky and not suited for working out in my opinion. If youre working out, get a full-pleged arm band and not a case that doubles as one. Unfortunatley with all DLO products (excpet the leather flip case) they all add an unwanted bulk and and the film used to cover the screen never quite stays flat on the iPod.

Why do they have to evolve their product when it works just fine the way it is? The case looks fine, the rubber bumpers shouldn't really bother anyone, and the case does what it is supposed to do and it does it well. Your reasons for disliking this case are almost nonreasons.

If you're looking for a case you can work out with this case does the job just fine. End of story.

Why fix it if it isn't broke?

I purchased this case because it was one of the first available locally and I've been very happy with it. It offers complete protection for the front and back with only a minimal amount of exposure on the top. Just enough in fact to access the headphone jack and the hold switch. I don't think it's any bulkier than any of the other similar cases, it looks great and I've never had to bend the opening back. Overall a great case!

I purchased this case today, and while I can't attest to its longevity, I would like to share a few thoughts...

First of all, the case is rather attractive. The rubber on the sides does add some width to the overall appearance, but it isn't bad. Incidentally, I think the rubber sides are a good idea, they help with the grip and provide an element of texture to the case.

The exposed areas on the top and bottom are actually useful. You wouldn't be able to use the hold button through the neoprene, and it docks rather easily as well. That said, if you are planning on using this case in especially dusty conditions, then it probably isn't the vase for you. In normal conditions it will be more than sufficient.

The plastic doesn't obscure the screen at all, and the clickwheel is fully operational beneath it as well. The belt clip is perhaps the best engineered aspect to the case, if you plan on using t. The arm band is secure and stable, so if you plan on using it for running (the main reason I bought this case), you're in good shape.

While I agree with the reviewer that $30 seems a little steep for this case, a very similar product from Marware retails for slightly more than that, and the two systems seem roughly on the same level.

If I were grading I would give the product a B+, or perhaps even a qualified A-. It isn't spectacular or unusually creative, but it gets the job done.

I purchased this case for my 30G mainly for working out, but now that I have it, I'm thinking that I will use as my full time every day case as well.

First off, it fits my ipod like a glove. I agree with the review, the 60G would be squished in this case. My case closes in the back perfectly - no pulling or stretching in odd places. Also, my 30G slides in and out of this case with very little hassle.

I also am a fan of the rubber on the sides of the case. I drop EVERYTHING, and the textured sides give me a little extra confidence with my grip on the player.

I don't think that the exposed areas on the top sides of the case are a big deal at all. There really is JUST enough room on the right for your earphones to plug in, and JUST enough room on the left to toggle the hold switch if you need to. The opening on the bottom is equally JUST ample enough for your dock connector, so I really don't have any complaints there either.

I happen to like the clip on this case. I like how it rises above the upper back edge of the case itself - this allows the ipod and case to actually hug your side rather than bounce up and down on the top of your pants half-balanced like some models with the clip lower on the back of the case.

My only complaint - and it isn't a big one - is that it is kind of a pain to feed the armband in through the loops on the back of the case. Also, if you have little arms, you will more than likely have to double the strap over on itself and tuck under the case. I will say, however, that the comfort level of the neoprene strap is fantastic. It doesn't pull or fall down your arm at all.

Oh yeah, also, the plastic is kind of thick over the clickwheel (which IMO is a good thing) so be prepared to press a little harder for your controls.

Overall, I dig this case.

DO NOT BUY. My iPod was still in its plastic wrap befor I slid it into this case. Right befor I slid it in I took the plastic cover off the faceplate for the first time. I take out later that day to adjust it and theres scratches all over the front of the iPod. At 34 dollars this case is terrible. Even for free this case would be terrible.

Does anyone else think the click wheel is basically unusable with this case? It's like the plastic is too thick and you can't effectively scroll using the wheel.

Starbucks is COMPLETELY RIGHT. IT WILL RUIN YOUR IPOD!!! Once you manage to get your iPod in this deathtrap good luck getting it out. And once you DO manage do get it out, say HELLO to all the scratches. I plan on returning mine, along with my iPod - to best buy for 1: a refund and 2: a replacement. Very Bad Case!!

Wish I would have read the comments written hear before I purchased! iLounge should give this case an 'F' because as others have said, the plastic that is supposed to 'protect' your iPod actually scratches it when you insert/remove it. Horrible product!

STAY AWAY! I completely agree with Starbucks. I bought this case the day I bought my iPod and I also have scratches all over the front of my ipod because of it. In order for the case to clip into the belt holster, you have to fold the velcro section up that covers the top of the iPod. Pretty useless case. 34 dollars and 34 new scratches on my 300 dollar iPod. Bogus!

I have been saving my pennies to buy my 30G iPod. I read so many of the review on how easy it is to scratch the screen that I knew before I took it out of the box I have to buy something that will protect it. Well, I took my 30G from the box to the ActionJacket. I took it out a week later just to show some colleagues only to find out that the ActionJacket scratched my entire iPod.

I wrote to DLO to complain and let them know that they are doing some major false advertising. All I got was an email asking me to call their help desk line.

I called and they told me that it was my fault for not properly using their product.

Stay away...pass the word. There are better products out there.

I bought this case at Best Buy for $31.79 (that includes Michigan sales tax of 6%). Like one of the previous users, my iPod was brand new - right out of the box, practically. I had bought a previous DLO Action Jacket for my now-defunct 4G 20 GB iPod, and because that iPod already had many scratches on it at the time of purchase, I didn't readily notice any new ones.

However, after about five days with the DLO Action Jacket for iPod (5G), I was fed up. Although the scratch damage wasn't horrible, it was enough to convince me to return the case to Best Buy for a full refund. The iPod barely moved (meaning that I didn't put it in my pocket, didn't use it for exercise, etc) and there were too many scratches for comfort. I don't mind the chrome or even the black getting scratched a tad bit, but for minimal action, I found this case absolutely unacceptable for what I was looking for. The packaging even said that the case prevents scratches. It did quite the opposite.

I used the money that was returned to me and i bought an evo3 from iSkin. I've had friends who have loved the coverage they've gotten from those. Bottom line from me, however: do not buy this case unless you're willing to put up with the scratches.

When I bought this case, I just wanted a clip and something to cushion my 60gb ipod. What I got was a waste of money. It cost alot of money, the clip was flimsy, it nearly crushed my fingers on several occasions when I tried it remove my ipod, it hinders the use of the click wheel and just collected dust.

This case is BAD. After just two months, the front of my iPod-- both on the screen area as well as around the click wheel-- was badly scuffed. I can't remove the marks with eyeglass cleaner and a soft cloth wipe. Not sure what else to try.

I can't believe the case mfg. tried to tell KemoMD that he didn't use the product correctly-- it's a case for godz sake!

Absolutely do not buy this product. I had my new ipod in this DLO product for 2 months and then decided to take it out. When I did, I noticed the surface of the ipod has a bad scratch from one bottom screen corner down below the click wheel to the other bottom screen corner. This scratch is a mirror image of the plastic edge on the inside of the case. I understand the concept of dirt/debris contributing to scratches but this was obviously caused by a poor design with the rough inner plastic edge. A friend of mine has the same ipod with same DLO case and had the same problem. And DLO Customer Service is terrible as they have given me every excuse in the book (when they've actually responded) including telling me to contact Apple. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you want your ipod scratched.
