nice review, i recently purchased this system a week ago and i got it for $120 off of amazon.com. I am quite satisfied with the audio quality; it is clear and does the job. The review is correct in stating that at higher volume the speakers start to distort, but youll notice after using it that unless youre at a loud superbowl party or something, the highest volumes are not too necessary. One flaw that i will note is the propensity for the bottom dock piece to pop out occasionaly. The button launches the dock out, but it can also pop out accidentally by pushing the piece on the bottom. If you are worried about the dock being damaged, take it into consideration, but i dont find it too pestering.
For $150, these speakers might leave you dissatisfied. However, with a $120 price tag i am extremely satisfied, and if you can find it for less than $150, i strongly encourage it.

I own the IM5 for about a month and a half, and I found them a very good portable solution, they don´t sound like a home theater, but have very good sound for it´s size, I prefer the sound of the IM5 to the IM3. The IM5 sounds more natural, it seems to have less treble and bass, but it is more balanced. The IM5 like the IM3, also distort bass at low level, depending on the song, but this is a problem you find in most small speakers. I also like it´s portability and battery life, and they are reasonable rugged for taking them with me where ever I go. I don´t care about the remote control, because I usually use them near me, so it is not a problem for me.
