I have this case and while I like it overall, it seems to have the nagging problem of creating a big "wet spot" right smack in the middle of the screen. If I squeeze the plastic on the sides, the "wet spot" goes away and then comes back.

Also, the plastic wiggly pattern on the back leaves some really nasty marks on the ipod itself.

For these two reason, I am not using it anymore.

I have the IS on my nano, so the squiggly marks don't annoy me. I'm glad I used the IS first, though. Also, I don't mind the top and bottom being open (again because of my IS). So MicroShield works great for me.

does anyone know about the Microshield for the 5G?
it looks like they fixed the belt clip problem by having 2 backs. one w/ one w/o.

jazzymac, by using the IS and the microshield, are you getting any wetmarks?
i've read about some users having trouble w/ wetmarks usin' IS and agent18's case.

jeremy horwitz, i hope you can review the new case soon.

I bought this case to use when taking the iPod out into the cold cruel world (and my car).

I can confirm that the "wet marks" also exist on the 5G version unfortunately. Assuming these marks are harmless, they would have been easy to ignore on previous iPods, but they're annoying when watching video. As a result, I'm using only the back piece for now.

I should note that I'm also using Power Support's Crystal Film, which is an outstanding product. I don't think the wet marks are being caused by the combination of the Crystal Film and MicroShield, but perhaps J.R. can let us know if he's also using Crystal Film.
