I had tested the manufacture's [Capdase] claimed weather resistance to a bit extreme.
Check out the photo of my test. You will be quite impress.
Of course neither the manufacture [Capdase] nor I are suggesting any sort of water proof by this product, but only weather resistance.
Unfortuantely, the Capdase Soft Armor cannot be used with Otterbox's water proof headphones. May be I should get Capdase and Otterbox together for the next product.

I just received my Soft Armor and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the packaging! I do have a couple of niggles though.
Firstly, I'm a Hold Switch fanatic and my fingers always switch it on/off when it goes into my pocket or I dock the nano. With the Soft Armor covering the nano completely it's a tad fiddly switching the Hold switch on/off because I have to go through the rubber. However this is a minor issue for me.
Secondly the cap at the bottom shearing the lanyard eyelets is something I'm concerned about. I really want to use the lanyard but don't want to tear the thin rubber eyelets since I just bought it! I'm sure I'll be careful but it's just asking to tear off!
Other than this, I'm very impressed with the case. It feels good to the touch and looks good. I have a black nano and I bought the black soft armor with orange. I think the black/orange combination looks cool, and is unlike any other nano case I've seen.
It took less than a week for the case to arrive from Hong Kong to London and the service from Vinko's Treasures was great.

I just bought this case and I am glad to say this is the best 20 dollars I've ever spent on protection (heh). The only gripes I have are the shipping time from Vinko's treasures (I ordered december 30, and got it today, jan 12, which as acceptable considering the time ordered & overseas (hong kong to US) shipping, and the very fraille lanyard eyelets - If I really wanted to hang it around my neck (or secure it to my pants to avoid drops), I'd probably route the lanyard through the slight hole in the plastic bottom cap.
Before I bought it, I wasn't aware that there was a very thin silicon layer of the case on top of the click-wheel, so I was a tad skeptical of Vinko's picture with it underwater, but now that I have it... I think it could be submerged (with headphones plugged in though) and survive just fine.
I don't think I'll be using the orange caps at all, so here's a picture of my black nano in the solid black case w/ clear caps as they didn't show any on this review or Vinko's site.

Wait, let me get this straight. You can only use Apple headphones, which blow, with this thing, and it gets an A-. A completely disqualifying flaw, and it is "highly recommended"? What am I missing?

Perhaps the fact that a very substantial number of people use Apple's headphones, happily, and don't view it as "completely disqualifying." When we stop seeing everyone (particularly buyers of lower-end iPods) wearing the white buds, we might agree with you.

I am writing to comment on Macen's comments regarding shipping period from us (Vinko's Treasures).
Please note that at the minimum we always ship all orders via Hong Kong Post Registered Air Mail, therefore the final delivery is handled by the recipient's Postal Service.
We can let you know that Hong Kong Post is the most efficient of all postal services we had ever dealt with.
As all orders are shipped from our Hong Kong warehouse, aside from the respective local Postal services who will handle your shipment, your respective local Customs agency will also have to process your shipment.
Given that Macen placed his/her order on Dec. 30, which is one of the busiest period for all postal services.
Although we normally process all orders within 24 hours, Dec. 30 was a Saturday and Jan. 1 was a public holiday, therefore we would have posted the shipment on Jan. 2nd HK local time. Macen then received the order on Jan. 12 his/her local time, that is 8 business days from the posted date, which is 3 business days more than our normal estimate of 5 - 6 business days from posting.
Plus we do not know whether Macen had paid us with a PayPal eCheck or not. If he did, we would also have to wait for PayPal to clear the eCheck before we can ship his/her order.
If any of you have any further questions please feel free to contact us directly. We look forward to serving you all.
BTW: Capdase has developed new versions of this case for the "Apple 2G iPod nano". Please feel free to check them out in our online store.
