I don't understand where you folks are getting cassette tape adapters that work. My father-in-law's tape adapter makes grinding sounds whenever used and I just bought your highest rated Sony CPA-9C adapter and it makes incredibly annoying clicking sounds ALL the time. How can this be preferable to an FM transmitter that might occasionally have some static?

Hi Jeremy,
This is Prasad Boppana. I have recently bought a 30GB video IPOD and a cassette player adapter to play in the car. My Cassette deck has auto reverse function and there is note on the cassette adapter that it may cause loss of sound or sound distortion. Please let me know how we can depress the auto reverse function in the cassette deck stereo.My car is a honda civic 2002 LX model.

I also recieved annoying clicking sounds every 1.5 seconds with the Sony CPA-9C cassette adaptor. The sound would drop when the "cla-click" comes in, making listening to the ipod almost unbearable. Maybe this only happens in certain cars, but this issue should be addressed and not downplayed.

I bought the Philips PH2050W mentioned in this post yesterday for my Honda Accord 2002 and I am having the same clicking sounds problem. It is not usable in my car. They really should put out compatibility charts so we can buy the unit that will work for us.
