This case looks like every other silicone skin I've seen. And for $30? Sheesh.

It's not the look, it's the quality.

How would this stack up against Capdase's Soft Jacket?

I have to say that the Capdase Soft Jacket is by far the case to go with if you are wanting a good silicon based protection for your iPod. The iPod slips in thru the screen slot on the Capdase case and this one just simply has an opening on the top. Bad deal that it doesnt even have a clip or option for a clip accessory. Definitely not one of PowerSupport's best cases.

I just threw away the remnants of a Power "Crystal set" - front, back and wheel separate pieces. This silicon jacket uses the same wheel cover. The reason for tossing it: the pieces slide around and even come off regularly.
Buy something from another manufacturer.

Approximately $38 shipped ($7 shipping and handling is steep in my opinion. The whole package hardly weighs 3 to 4 ounces.
While a silicone solution is what I was going for (to keep the unit from sliding around in my car and to give it a slimmer profile than what I had with my Rhino case), I'm not convinced of the value of this product at the aforementioned price. One of the annoyances is how this case seems to attract dirt and dust. Imagine sticking a gummy bear in your pocket for a day...that's my impression of this material. As mentioned previously, the opening at the top seems to compromise this case a bit leaving one with a sense that it will eventually tear or stretch.
I expected a bit more for the price.
