Call me a sourpuss if you must, but for me this item falls somewhere between 'gaudy' and 'ridiculous'. Armbands for joggers I can totally see, but come on now.

Plus, it's not practical. Who goes in for large/ostentatious belt buckles? Rednecks. And where do rednecks congegate? Redneck bars. So you wear one of these to, say, Crazy Horse on a Friday night, and somebody tries to kick you in the mess. Of course, they'd miss because of the five or six Blue Ribbons they'd pounded, and hit too high. Then you're out a Nano.

Of course, maybe I'm overthinking it.

Uhhh, from my memory of the ancient prototype this thingy use to have neither red stitching nor chrome. Looked better. Still gaudy. At least it is well integrated.
And Multimoog, don't go to places where you know beforehand that people will kick you where it hurts.

I am extremely interested in getting one of these... I went to their site and I saw the other two belts that are coming soon.

I'm gonna buy one. I think they're cool. 1.5" is not that big of a belt buckle.

Its a good idea but think about using it. when you lean against a table or such, it will scratch for sure, and possibly crack!

What a great idea! This is one of the coolist ipod add-ons I've seen in a while. Antgoo is absolutely right; the others shown on their website are cooler and provide more protection for the nano.

I'm buying one too.

Hopefully an iPod with "The Invisible Shield" will fit in one of these. I'm in.

actually, having a big belt buckle is very "in" if you are in the urban/hip-hop culture. the students at my school have big huge belt buckles w/ their names on them and some even have a scrolling belt light belts w/ their names or whatever phrase showin' up. if you're going to show off your bling, why not w/ a ipod nano?

they need one with an iPod "spinner" like the wheels, now THAT would get some attention!
