I have had my i-deck since October 2005 and use it every day with my iPod mini and 5G. I believe it to be the best iPod speaker system available bar none. In fact the category of speaker system does not do it justice as I see it as a genuine midi system which has consigned my hi-fi into storage. It knocks the Bose Sound Dock and iM7 into a cocked hat on sound staging alone, and the fact that I neither listen to music at full volume (is no-one taking notice of the warnings on hearing loss?), nor do I enjoy overly bassy music, means that the i-deck deserves an A+ rating all day long. Highly recommended.

Anyone know where the iDeck can be bought?

Dear Jeremy,
You compared the iDeck to the Apple HiFi and mostly the iDeck comes out on top.
Could you supplement your review by comparing the iDeck to the Geneva L?
The iDeck is half the price of the Geneva L. Does the Geneva L sound so much better than the iDeck?
I like my music to sound clean and well defined. I love bass but it's secondary to me because most of the time I listen at "normal" listening levels to music that doesn't thump
that much.
I would love to be able to compare iDeck and Geneva but the only way to do this is to purchase them at this point so your comments would be very helpful.
thanks.

Is anyone using the firewire connection on this? How do you like it?
