So...why aren't you entering your tags, iLounge? What kind of first look is that? What the heck is "er-Jay-Z" supposed to show us?

Cool indeed...ish.

Actually, that's what the car's RDS system displays - with fully entered tags. Regrettably, the "er-Jay-Z" illustrates that a song properly named Shoulder by Jay-Z shows up around 8 characters at a time, which isn't going to do a lot of good on this particular vehicle. At the moment, we have four test cars, only one with RDS, and have seen the unit working on a fifth car that also had RDS. The car with the most sophisticated on-screen RDS display is shown above. Another, with a lower-tech radio, showed the tags more interestingly. The others can't display the RDS detail at all.

so in terms of signal strength, you'd definately recommend the belkin tuneFM over this?

My cigarette lighter in my car does not work anymore. I was wondering if the transmitter would still work without the charge option.

The transmitter does not work unless its plugged into the cigarette lighter.

I've owned four different types of transmitters. The Kensington's signal is not strong enough... bad sound quality. Doesn't include 87.9FM in it's station list, which is one of the few unused stations in my location. The charger frequently works itself out of the cigarette lighter - causing it to stop abrubtly. For the price, not impressed.

Well, I purchased a Kensington Digital FM Modulator last year (a little over 1 year ago) and now it is Shot! mainly static and muddy audio, on my wife's car, mine and a friend's. With this said, I am wondering about this model.

My car supports RDS (wife's no) this supports her ipod (mine no) and my Touareg is set to international stations, meaning, I get even stations and down to 87.3 and we get 87.9 decently as a college station.

BTW we go on a 12-hour car trip next week and I want something to attach an ipod to.

Help!!
