Jays d-JAYS Earphones | iLounge

I have a pair of those new v-modas in gunmetal. I'll be curious to see iLounge's writeup on them when you get a working pair. I find them colored, but totally acceptable for the price. I bet they sound a lot like the two pair you've reviewed today...is it possible that these companies are all using the same drivers?

The v-moda does NOT use the same driver as the d-JAYS. In fact, the v-moda uses a standard dynamic driver found in many earphones on the market. The d-JAYS use a micro armature which is a completely different technology. There is no other earphone on the market that uses the same armature found in the d-JAYS.

I am considering buying a pair, soon.

Jays might make good products, but their business ethics are questionable. They have hi-jacked http://www.shure.se and use it as their own domain.

Can anyone who has these earphones comment on how comfortable they are to sleep in? One of the reasons I prefer earbuds is that their design allows me to lean my head against a pillow, bus/plane seat without any discomfort. I can't tell from the pics of these earbuds (none show anyone actually wearing them) how much they stick out of the ears.
