This means of shrink wrapping an expensive iPod is about the dumbest means of protection I've seen to date. I had to read the article again as a means of virtually pinching myself to ascertain whether I read correctly. Someone needs to put the stupid-stick back into the closet where it belongs because whoever designed this was hit with it.

I agree. This is a bad idea. Running the hairdryer for too long will cause the plastic to melt into the iPod, destroying it. Also, does anyone remember the iPod manual saying "do not leave in car because high temperature will damage the iPod"? Somebody at iLockr should say: "we'll bump the price by $10 and include a sticker (like the powersupport crystal film).

Aw come on guys..this product has precedence!
Remember the movie "The Time Bandits"?
The parents living room was completely covered in protective plastic. The sofa, the floors, everything covered in a sort of bizarre mania.
This product is very befitting of that stage and is that same level of disturbing silliness!

Perhaps colored Saranwrap with dashing designer hues for the DIYs. We could call it iFresh!

....I wonder how many of the idiots who pay for this are going to try and seal their iPod up in the oven or microwave.......or seal all the ports.....
