Just bought the Inmotion for my new 6 GB mini and all works great!! The sound is more than satisfactory and the fact that it has battery power makes it truly portable. The JBL Onstage (which I was also considering) does not off the battery option. The other nice thing is the Inmotion doubles as your computer dock as well.
Only negative is I have to take both sides of my Agent 18 Mini Shield to dock into the Inmotion. Not a major inconvenience but one worth noting.
Overall and especially since I got this baby new on eBay for $65 including shipping it is FANTASTIC!!!

I have the inmotion speakers. They are amazing for their size. In response to some other posts, you can charge your iPod with the DC supply or through the firerwire cable. I myself would like to know if they can be plugged in at the same time. I assume you could, but firewire is 12V and the DC supply to the speakers is 9V.
I have just plugged them into my iMac G5 and the sound quality is very similar. The only difference is that they are much louder than the iMac's!!
I have had issues with using the dock. I have found that where you route your cable is important. If it crosses the mains cable of my iMac, the problem is almost guaranteed for example. I think they must pick up extra noise onto the highspeed data lines. Excellent product.
