I totally want an all-black iPod without the stupid red wheel and U2 signatures.
That black back is, in the words of that genius poetess Paris Hilton...hot.

Yeah, Apple should add the black back casing to the regular black iPod.

Well, the black n red combination doesnt look that astonishing. I would rather lie to have Black with anything else than red. Red gives me a "girly" look. And the back should be without those autographs. It would look more sexier. And for god sake, if the ipod is metalic black, the white earbuds makes abso. NO sense to me. Apple please get rid of the white "stuff" which comes along with a "black" gadget

Yeah.. that mirror black look is AWESOME. I bet it would hide scratches well (better), as well.
Now what to do about that silly red clickwheel..

Sweet, I really want one of these. It's either a new mobile phone and one of these or a MacBook...

Re: MacBook
Just been to my 'local' Apple Store (local as in 90 minute drive...) and while the new black MacBooks look exceedingly cool, they show fingerprints/grease way too easily and the outside finish is a matt black and the display models were showing signs of scuffing/scratching already. I think they could be looking pretty tatty after a few months of being put into bags etc.
My old G3 iBook while scratched doesn't look that bad unless you inspect it closely. The new style keyboard is reminiscent of the Sinclair ZX81 computers - not that they feel cheap, but just the look of the keys.

In Australia the first U2 iPod did not come with all of the extras because we did not have iTunes Store operating at the time. So even being a U2 fan was not enough to make me buy the first issue as you could not get all the benefits for the extra money.
Just got mine delivered today and the black body with the red wheel looks fantastic in the flesh.
