yes it can charge a 2G ipod mini. just a warning though for 1G ipod mini users, this adapter is not compatible with it, especially if you do an restore or an update of the firmware.

Is it recommended to plug the wall charger into the socket upside-down (it fits that way)? Because I'm tight on plugs and my other socket is preoccupied with a downward facing extension plug. Just want to be cautious.
