I got one of these about two weeks ago for frequent flights cross-country and occasionally overseas. Its worked great for me so far on two cross-country flights. I use it without the case and like its small size. Its easy to travel with. Does exactly what I need it to. I had the other Belkin Battery (4 AA's) and it was too bulky.
If you need something more robust with longer battery life than 8-10 hours than look elsewhere, but I think for most people, this will fit the bill.
$99 seemed a bit much, but I'm very pleased with it now.

Nope, skinned iPod won;t fit. The thing actually hugs the iPod very tightly and acts like a skin itself. It also protects the front of the ipod because it wraps around the front, so when it's laid face-down on a surface the iPod never touches the ground. Very nice!

I just bought one of these from CDW and paid with shipping $69.00.
I did see that there is a battery extender for the ipod(white in color) but I am not certain if it ca be used with the 4th gen.

I'm using the griffin iTalk a lot and need the extra battery time... Is this a good product for it? -Cause as it looks from the product pics like it blocks the top of the ipod... the iTalk needs to be tight on the ipod to work correctly... will they fit?

I saw it at Costco for $99, but it was the Belkin Accessory package, which means that not only did it have the Battery Pack, but it also included the Tune FM and 2 leather cases. Very good deal!
